Been watching a couple of videos on youtube of old Jack Hargreaves commenting on purse net making used to love watching his

OUT OF TOWN programmes, these program's should be brought back showcasing countryside pursuits instead of all this anti propaganda pish.

Then it was "Old Country" or "Out of Town." 'till half eleven and straight out ferreting.

No videos to record your shows back then.

Jack was a legend and although he told and showed the old ways he had no false romantic ideals about the countryside.

He knew it was a working environment and told it like it was.

The first time I seen lurchers on telly was when it showed the lads bolting rabbits to their coney dogs.

I had a really understanding Mam who just let me get on with it, in a way old Jack was like a father figure to me as mine died when I was quite young. Everything I did then is locked away in my head so no one can touch it anymore! Still doing a bit and still enjoying what we have left but feel so sad of what we have lost!
